The Office of the Mayor

Mayor Robert Reichert became the 41st Mayor of Macon on December 12, 2007. For over two decades Mayor Reichert has dedicated himself to public service for his community. The Mayor's vision for Macon is:

"A more cohesive community that attracts opportunities, preserves the quality of life, promotes pride, and inspires hope."

The Mayor serves as the Chief Executive Officer for the City of Macon, with all executive powers and supervision of administrative affairs of the city. The Mayor also must faithfully execute and enforce all ordinances, resolutions, and regulations of the city and of the state. The Mayor's Office consists of a professional staff that assists the Mayor in these duties and others defined by the city charter.
